Speedo Cable?

Hi all.

I have a 1980 Transam 4.9 non Turbo. Original Owner My speedometer cable recently stopped working.

I have gone on a few sites to order, but there are different lengths.

How do I know what mine is?

Are the depends all the same when you order?

I hear it screws into the transmission and has a clip type under the dash.

Do I have to remove the front bezel to get to it, or can I do it from lying under the dash? How hard is it to withdraw from the transmission?

Also, what is the best site to order it from?

I am from Canada.
