I recently restored a 76 and had the interior redone.

Long story short, the old seats had no belt guides, so the shop didn't put them back on when they recovered the seats.

Anyway, I ordered new guides, but for my life, I absolutely cannot figure out how to attach the triangular guide to the bracket that mounts to the seat.

I watched the video on FbodyWarehouse, but there's an obvious edit in the part where he can connect these two pieces.

Make sense?

Anyway, who's done this, and how did you do it?

I had a similar situation with recovered seats on my '79.

I used an aftermarket set.

Fortunately, the metal bracket on the seat was still there, and I could locate the mounting holes.

Carefully created a pilot hole and attached the base with two screws.

Now the fun part was mounting the triangular piece while keeping constant pressure into the hole and setting the screw simultaneously.

After several attempts and a few choice words, it went and, more importantly, held!
