Hey there, all.

New here.

Have a 1981 Trans Am that someone else removed the engine and dash harness, and now I'm tasked with installing a new older harness that has no provision for pulse wipers.

I went with a carb setup and ditched the computer.

Presently, wipers only work on low speed and low when activating the washer pump.

It shuts off fine but has no pulse and high speed.

I can't find the correct diagram for this.

Hoping I'm just lacking a jumper wire on this.

See pics for what I have at wiper motor.

Thanks for any help! Has new washer pump with delay and such.

Lots of good wiring videos on Youtube.

That's how I got my 76 TA to work.

Most GM cars are the same. GTOs, Chevelles, and Camaros all use the same motors and switches.

Differences being pulse, hidden and not hidden, washer or no washer.

Wiring is the same.

My wiper motor is also not working on my 81 TA.

I have all the wiring diagrams, and I think the problem is in a relay in the engine.

I have an embarrassingly minor problem that I need help with.

I CAN NOT get the 2-wire electrical connector off of the wiper motor.

I am pulling very hard on the connector and wires, and it will NOT release from the motor.

I quickly pulled the same style of e 3-wire connector from the motor, but the 2-wire seemed welded.

Maybe I'm being too careful and need to pull harder, but I've never seen an auto-wire connector stuck like this one.

If you're still interested, I found some very good wiring diagrams for my 81 Turbo TransAm.

I used them to solve my Wiper Motor not working problem.

Reply if needed.
