Hi All

I am new to this site.

I have a red 1980 Trans am.

Original owner.

I have been working on it for the past few months with a close friend.

Completed the following items: replace spark plugs, wires, rad hoses, belts, tie rods exhaust, and stopped oil pan and transmission leak.

Changed motor oil, transmission oil, rear end;

It is almost ready.

I need the wiper motor to stop wiping, stop the power steering pump from leaking and somehow stop the rear truck at the hinges to stop leaking(last 30 years).

Looking forward to browsing the site.

I am from Ontario, Canada,

Mike

Just an update on the car.

The wiper motor and pump have been replaced and working now.

However, I now have a problem with the carb or vacuum lines, I think.

The car starts, warms up then dies. I have posted to get help.

Hi Bob, welcome.

To keep everyone up to date on my progress.

I now have ordered a new gas tank and had the carb cleaned out again.

Waiting for the tank now. should be here in a few weeks.

Kills me to see the car in the garage on these beautiful weekends??

Ahhhhhh

Thank You, Smokey.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for sharing your T/A.

Our first Trans Am was Black with Red Int.

1980 that we bought new in Jan 1980.

We kept it for 26 years and sold it.

I WISH I had it back.

We do still have the 98 WS6, which we bought new 23 years and counting.

No plans whatsoever of letting it go. :)

I hope you get your bird back on the road soon if you haven't already.

Take care and Be Blessed.
