In 1968, Nancy Sinatra wanted to use her Pink Mist 68 Firebird in the filming of her song, "Got to get out of this Place," and sought the approval from Delorean himself.
Unfortunately, approval was denied due to it being a brand new model and because Pontiac had not signed any sponsorship agreement so she had to use her 57 T-bird instead.
In later years, it turned back up restored up for auction and its current whereabouts is unknown.
