The Trans Am I have is an odd one. I just ordered a PHS report that I should have in a few days and hopefully it will answer some questions.
This car is a 1979 TransAm VIN# 2W87Z9L167677

What we have found out so far is this car was a Decal, AC delete Special edition Black Trans Am
All black including black snowflake wheels from the factory.
No hood decal, trans spoiloer decal, 6.6 shaker decal. Nothing but a 400, 4-speed, WS6 package 4wheel disc,
power windows, tilt, t-tops, and a radio.
All numbers matching, and is currently on a rotisserie waiting for me to someday finish this car.
My dad was the Pontiac dealer during this era and vaguely remembers a limited production car call the "BLACK" Trans Am.
I have only seen one other T/A with black original snowflakes, and that car was on loan to Jay Leno for one of his awesome episodes.
Does anyone here have this car or have any confirmation that this car is infact an oddball Special Edition production like the RedBird?
