After replacing about 35 parts on the 74 455 that sat for 32 years, I took it down the lane to get the mail for 2 days & it ran great.

But I can never leave well enough alone. 🥴

Put on New GM plug wires, dist cap, rotor, brush, and seal.

Now has Weak Spark and Just Cranks.

Just ordered the missing tach clip.

Put the old rotor, brush & seal back on & no change.

Strange!!

Thanks, One and All,
Mart

No, but I don't see how the Coil that worked great 15 minutes earlier could have gone bad just by replacing the cap, rotor, brush & seal.

I have it set right on TDC now and will go from there.

Thanks,
Kightrider.

Top dead center was pointing toward 8, so just to see, I moved 1 to 8, etc.

Still just cranks.

Thanks, One and All,
Mart
