Interior Lights?

Does the 1970 TA have interior lights other than a dome light, such as the front floor or glove compartment lights that turn on when doors open?

I got a feeling that the courtesy light in the footwells didn’t appear until some years later.

Trans Am would’ve been a fairly well-optioned car, so if it were available, I’d expect it to be there.

There is a guy in England who has a white 70 TA.

He posts a lot on YouTube, and his car has been restored and converted to LED interior lights.

That’s where I noticed the floor lights, but it was probably an after-market addition.

Aftermarket floor lights are installed quickly enough.

Tie into the fuse panel's "Battery" portion, and you will be all set.

Courtesy lamps and door switches are available in several places.

The dome lamp standard, the footwell, and the glovebox lights were part of the courtesy light option.

Be aware that you'll need to reverse the wiring at the glovebox switch to use the LED lamps in the stepped courtesy sockets; you can't simply turn the bulb.
