Flowmaster Tailpipes Aren't Cooperating?

I'm trying to get 2-1/2" Flowmaster tailpipes on my 455 74, but they aren't cooperating.

Is there a trick to getting them to go on?

I may have to jack the body up higher.

I had to remove the Sway Bar links to get them on.
