Change Power Antenna To Stubby Flexible Type?

Hi all, I want to convert the power antenna on my 2002.

It didn’t go down all the way, it stuck about 3” up & I didn’t notice it when going thru the carwash.

It maniac’s it & slightly deformed metal where goes thru fender !??!

Has anyone converted to a flexible stubby & can you recommend one to convert from a power one?

We don't think that would be too hard as the end plug would be the same.

You would have to get the antenna and remove the power one or rebuild it.

I’m still trying to find a rebuild kit or someone who rebuilds.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Also harder to find a stubby than I would think.

The original mount hole is on the curved part of the rear fender.

I bought one & mounted it, but it looks pretty weird sticking out on a goofy angle.

I was wondering if anyone’s found/mounted one made for the ‘02 Firebirds.
