First post, so thanks for having me.

First-time Pontiac owner.

I have a 75 trans am.

Newly built 400 engine.

What specific oil should I be using for the first break-in?

According to my research, it's a conventional 30W with zinc.

Is this correct?

Thank you.

Yes, a 30-weight with Zinc is what you want.

Thank you,

Good to go.

Thank you.

Priming went as it should, displaying 65 for oil pressure.

Pretty much ready to fire up.

This 75 was left to me by my dad. He got the engine built, and most of the rest is mine to finish.

Very stoked.

My daily driver is a Land Rover.

Two different worlds.
