Hi all, I'm a newbie here from Canada, and while I've had my share of European and Japanese classics, I'm brand new to Firebirds and recently have been looking into buying a 70s Firebird because I think they're super cool.

I've recently come across a 1975 with a 400 and auto transmission.

I haven't seen the vehicle yet because it's about an hour away, but I plan to see it this Tuesday.

The seller is honest about it, but it has been parked since 1988.

Hence, I ask for help to see if the experience on this site can caution me on things to look out for and what potentially to expect.

I'm just trying to make an informed decision.

A few things (as per the seller description) are intriguing me - the engine/transmission is running well, the rear end is decent, and the fluid has been changed; the front brakes are new, the rear brakes need work, the body is rust free and solid, but both driver and passenger floor pans have some pin holes and need replacing, trunk pan is good, exhaust needs work, needs a new brake block, possibly new brake lines, likely the e-brake as well.

It has T-tops that don't leak.

I'll learn more about the electrical and any issues on Tuesday when I see it.

I hope to be well-informed by Tuesday so that I can look for typical problem areas and other potential issues.

Please help with whatever you can.

I'm not worried about being treated like I don't know anything because I mostly don't.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.
