Parking Brake Installation?

Hi.

1978 Trans Am, can anyone tell me what the switch on my parking brake is used for?

I'm installing the brake cable and chasing/deciphering the wiring.

That looks like someone put an aftermarket switch on it.

Were there any wires attached to it?


1989 Pontiac Formula Firebird, 5.7, all OEM
