I have scoured threads on sites specific to 4th-generation Firebirds and cannot find a thread quite like my situation.
As the title states, my ABS INOP light is on whenever the key is turned.
I have used original GM service manuals extensively to research system description and operation, go through troubleshooting diagrams and charts, and test every single circuit and wire related to the ABS I know.
I may have missed a wire, but I’ve been working on this problem for almost two years, so I'm pretty sure I’ve tested the system thoroughly.
Additionally, I have an MT2500 snap-on scan tool with the troubleshooting cartridges associated with my vehicle year, 1996, and there are no codes related to ABS active, nor are there diagnostic codes, period.
I even found a rebuilt EBTCM (electronic brake traction control module) that made no difference.
Im completely stumped, lost, frustrated, and need help.
Could tire size matter that much?
I currently have 215/60/16, and the tire sticker says I have 245/50/16.
Please and thank you
