79 Trans Am Power Window Regulator?

It's the same topic but a slightly different question.

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement rivet for the window regulator pivot arm?

My pivot arm has too much play and rattles while driving. I'm tempted to drill out the rivet and reassemble it with a bushing & bolt.

I'm hopeful that someone already solved this problem before.

I’m no expert on window regulators, but the 79 I bought are original, and I cleaned them and all connections and grounded them to the body.

Thoroughly cleaned all tracks and roller and cleaned all switch connections.

Work perfectly and fast.

I’m told those regulators don’t fail as much as people think.

The power regulators sold are for those wanting to convert manuals; they do not swap.

As mentioned, the originals are close to bulletproof, even the motors.

The poor wiring and switch that burns out from all the load running through it and the poor earth that uses only a greasy door hinge for the path.

Rebuild a used set if it even needs that.

As for the above, source an oversized rivet, drill out both to match it and remove the sloppy, worn hole that was created.

Or even a low-profile bolt with locknut would work; check for clearance.

If you take it out for work, you may be ahead by swapping a good used one instead.

To save wasting any further time, the only power windows regulators they list are the conversion sets for manuals, exactly as discussed. So no, they don't.
