1997 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Won’t Stay Running

My Trans Am will start, run for 2-3 seconds, and then quit running.

I have tried a few things, like replacing the purge valve and testing the fuel pressure, but nothing has worked so far.

Does anyone have an idea of what to do?

Yes, you can hear the fuel pump, and there is fuel pressure where it needs to be.

You should have an OBD-ll port to plug an analyzer/scanner.

LS engines have lots of electronics! You will go crazy without getting a scanner analyzer code to help.

So many things it could be, start module, fuel system related alone could be ten different things.

The analyzer will give codes for all these things, if fuel pressure issues related to the Fuel pump, fuel injection, filters, etc.

Once you have some idea, you can start checking filters & actual pressures @ different points to b sure.
