1979 Trans Am 403 - Starter Replacement?

When I look up starter replacement, it always says the starter is on the passenger side.

Mine is on the driver's side.

I'm just trying to determine if the starter will come out without removing the manifold.

It sure looks impossible.

If standard manifold, the starter should come right out.

I know the Pontiac 400 starter is on the driver's side.

I can't remember what side for my old 403.
