Sorry about the delay, but it occurred to me that before this problem began, I went to use the car and found the battery weak. I charged it overnight with the battery still in and connected. The following day, the car started right up, rpm normal at about 1200 to 1300, and kicked down...- jbassat

No, I can't say it is. As soon as you put it into gear, it goes from idle to where the brakes have difficulty holding it back.- jbassat

1998 Trans Am RPM Control?
98 TA automatic infrequently driven has a new issue. When I shift to drive or reverse, it races from 700 at neutral to a point where the brakes have difficulty holding back. Any idea what's going on?- jbassat
