How Do I Check If My 1970 Trans Am Is An Original 4 Speed Car?

Is it a 400?

I presume because my car has the performance axle option 368, it has a close ratio of 4 speed, as this is the only time it is mentioned.

I have a feeling that the axle ratio & trans choice do go together; whether or not you could order that ratio & not have a 4-speed, I’m unsure, but I am almost sure you had to have that ratio of you specified a 4-speed.

The car looks fantastic!

The M21 is a GREAT transmission.

My 70 has one.

It gets you to 100 MPH FAST!

Cruising allows for easy shifts, skipping a gear, sometimes 2 gears, without revving her up or lugging.
