2000 Trans Am - Headlight Door?

I have a 2000 Trans Am.

The headlight door stays on for a few minutes when I close it.

Does anybody have any solutions?

It makes a clicking noise.

You'll need new gears in the headlights.

Gears inside the motor are shot.

They are just plastic gears.

You can buy rebuild kits for the headlights.
