I have a 1980 Trans Am with a 71 GTO Ram Air IV 400 and Muncie 4 speed.

I am looking for a set of long tube headers to fit Ram Air IV cylinder heads and clear the z-bar for the Muncie.

Ideally, a round port ceramic-coated header; if not, I'll have to go with the exhaust manifolds.

Thanks in advance for any ideas or advice.

Regards.

You will have to modify a set of RA IV headers to fit.

I’m pretty sure the availability of headers produced for these heads is minimal, even for GTOs, let alone the F-body variants.

It all depends on how important it is to fit headers rather than cast manifolds.

If I remember rightly, those engines were making considerable power from the factory with just a basic tune, so the manifolds must’ve been pretty decent, like the Mopar Hemi manifolds.
