1979 Trans Am Climate Control Illumination?

Hello,

Does the climate control panel suppose to light up when instrument lights are activated?

If so, what bulb(s) are required?

Also, it is the 10th Anniversary of the red instrument lights.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Stock bulbs were 1-watt bulbs, and they now make a little brighter replacements at 3 watts.
