I don't have any suggestions.

You can still get original paint sample cards from 78 occasionally, if you need to match something more easily, or if the car has faded or been repainted since.

You could try this post in the 2nd Gen section, or moderators can perhaps move it.

Thanks.

I've found various threads on different sites, but the codes and cross-reference numbers I've seen don't seem to mean much to the automotive refinish suppliers we've sent them to.

Trial and error have come close to the original colour.

Exactly.

Many quickly post codes and formulas, but often mean nothing 45 years later.

You must match an original paint chip to a current paint sample.

Or someone who has repainted their car, plenty of them, and asks what they used.

May not even be close to the original when compared.

Everyone assumes the paint job is the original colour.

Again, limited responses in the wrong forum.

Thanks again!

Meeting with the paint supplier later this morning to select the closest match from 5 spray-out options to my original rear wheel flare.

As you said, once painted, unless the car is parked beside an original Marty, who's to know?

As long as it's close.

Cheers!
