    Humorous mis-information

I found this on hotcars.com: "The 345-hp (claimed) 6.5-liter V8 sourced from Ram did wonders for the car’s popularity and performance." https://www.hotcars.com/ranking-the-best-trans-am-models-pontiac-ever-made/#1970-trans-am Really, now? That's news! I had no idea the 1970 Pontiac 400 V8...

The Agony Of A Rear Gear Fluid Change

I was about to change the diff fluid in the '73 Fire Am due to an increasingly loud whine on decel. After some research, I found that a loose input shaft nut could cause this. Sure enough, it was not even finger-tight. Re-torqued it, and the whine is gone, as is a leak. I should change...

    My 1970 Formula Rebuild Project

From the incorrect air cleaner, I am guessing that the car is not a legit Formula and someone just dropped that hood on it. If there is one thing that brings a car in this condition back to life teaches you, it is to start with the very best car you can find and afford.

Borgeson 800 Power Steering Box Upgrade Project Report

Due to a very mild winter here in the NH Lakes region and a short and sweet mud season, we finally got the Fire Am out to the paved road for a road test. The Borgeson 800 steering box is all that they claim it to be. The feel is firm and solid, and the wandering on-center numbness of the...

YearOne 17x9" Snowflake Wheel Lug Nuts / Lugs?

A possible solution found deep within the YearOne (misbehaving) website. YearOne P/N MRG1445. They have a longer shank and appear to have the correct conical surface for the 2nd Gen wheels that I have. I hope to test-fit later today if FedEx comes through.

YearOne 17x9" Snowflake Wheel Lug Nuts / Lugs?

If you are running YearOne 17x9" Snowflake wheels, what are you using for lug nuts or studs? The OEM Snowflake wheel lug nuts only get aboutfour4 threads of engagement with the OEM length studs - NOT SAFE! You need longer studs or shoulder lug nuts to get sufficient thread engagement...

    GM Is Committing Suicide!

Dodge has previously announced the end of their high-performance internal combustion models, and GM has announced an electric Vette. So sad. The end of an era. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/08/15/dodge-challenger-charger-to-be-discontinued-in-2023.html...

    GM Is Committing Suicide!

First, it was Pontiac. Now this: "General Motors announced Wednesday that it’s ending production of the latest generation of the Chevrolet Camaro, leaving the Ford Mustang as the last gasoline-powered American performance coupe."
