Hello, fellow T/A'ers!
Not sure how many of you are aware, or perhaps members of the national Pontiac club, POCI (Pontiac-Oakland International).
This is the worldwide club for us, and for the price of membership, you get one of the last real Pontiac magazines published, a heck of a deal to say the least.
The magazine's former editor (he just retired) was Tim Dye, a really good guy, who is the fella that started and maintains the Pontiac Museum in Pontiac, Illinois (on RT 66), and just finished the Pontiac Museum in Pontiac, Michigan.
POCI and the museum in Michigan will be hosting the 100th anniversary of Pontiac this summer, June 22-27, 2026.
If some of you out west or down south are unaware, the infamous Woodward Ave is the six-lane boulevard that connects Detroit to Pontiac, where all the Big 3 heavyweights cruised and drag raced while developing the awesome machines of the musclecar era.
This is looking to be one of the biggest auto celebrations in US history!
If you're not a POCI member, you may be unaware of the festival, so I am spreading the word. It's February so that you can plan your summer vacations now!
The three closest hotels are already booked full.
I booked my hotel at one of the other seven hotels on the outskirts of Pontiac.
I'll be there, will you?
