I have a 1980 TA, nonturbo 301-tach is stuck all the time at the 4500 rpm mark.
Mechanic says the tach is probably bad and I have asked how can you Troubleshoot this without taking down the dash?
Is there a power supply etc that can be tested before doing anything invasive?
Also maybe important to know that the original carb was replaced by an Edelbrock before I bought it.
Any thoughts would be great.
Thank you,
