I have a 1980 trans am turbo with a 383 stroker.

I think the hood won’t close because of the air filter.

Any help?

It’s the carb height it intakes height.

You will have to get a 79 hood and mount it to the hood.

It won’t shake.

You will need a shaker hood, and if you are running an Edelbrock performer rpm type intake, you will also need to get a drop base air cleaner set up for it.

Depending on what carb you are using, you could need a lower-hung fuel log and fittings.

I forgot to add that you will most likely have to remove that spacer if you are running any carb spacer and use a new carb gasket only.

Where can I find this drop base air cleaner?
