Crack In Roof Panel?

I have a '79 Trans Am with T-Tops.

I purchased the car in 1990.

A couple of years after I bought the car, a crack started to form at the t top.

We repaired it by welding the crack way back when.

Recently, I started driving the car again after a long stint in storage.

Welp, the crack is starting to come back.

Does anyone have a similar issue with their roof?

What are some good remedies?

A friend of mine had a crack in his Fisher T-Top & took it to a windscreen (windshield) repair shop.

They drilled a tiny hole at the end of the crack, filled it with clear resin & polished the whole thing, which looked like new!
