1981 TA Body Mount Bolts?

Trying to replace the subframe body mount bushings.

I ordered the OE kit from Firebird Central.

For the rears - the bolt that came out is about 4 and 3/8s, and the bolts in the kit are about 3 and a half inches.

No one seems to stock the longer bolts.

Any ideas?

Not sure what the thread pitch is, wonder if you can use a regular Grade 8 bolt.

Will the shorter bolt catch the threads when you try to thread it in?

Sometimes they would use extra-long bolts on the assembly line to make it easier to line up and speed up the assembly process.

As long as 3-4 threads are coming out the back side of the nut, that's sufficient.
