Hey everyone, probably an easily found answer for this, but I'm not sure what the correct/accurate engine color is for 1979 400.

I've seen the original engines with low-mileage cars, but I've not been able to pinpoint the color.

I only wanted to do this once for obvious reasons and wondered if anyone could assist.

I'm familiar with the earlier Pontiac light blue, I have corporate blue, and today I just bought GM blue, so I'd prefer a brush on the paint, but I've only come across sprays.

I feel my car is worth getting the right stuff; it is a 4-speed car, with numbers matching drivetrain, a VERY solid Oregon car that I've searched for years.

So, I'm happy to have found this forum; nice to be a part of a Pontiac community.

Peace.

The paint color they used was called GM Corporate Blue.

We have never seen a brush paint, but that doesn't mean you couldn't get it.

Thank you,

Great, I think the Duplicolors part number is DE 1608.

GM Blue is what they call it.

VHT has a GM blue also.

Party on!
