    My 1978 Z28 Camaro (I Know Not A Firebird)

Looks very good. You have a fantastic work ethic. Keep it up! Are you using poly bushings?

    My 1970 Formula Rebuild Project

That’s no bad thing……….. once you’re rolling around in a well built Camaro you’ll have an appetite to finish the Bird👌

    My 1978 Z28 Camaro (I Know Not A Firebird)

Have you heard of Herb Adam’s? He was a GM engineering wizard who developed the 70-81 F body suspension packages. As well as competing himself he wrote loads of books & tech articles on chassis engineering & development, worth checking out some of his wisdom on the interweb before you invest...

    My 1978 Z28 Camaro (I Know Not A Firebird)

That looks amazing! No corrosion, can't see any dents, let alone accident damage. You could prep & paint that shell in a week! I can't wait to see how this pans out & a factory 4fourspeed from what I can see.👌

    My 1970 Formula Rebuild Project

Agree entirely………. decent long lasting body repair is a hard thing to master, installing mechanical parts is far easier to get right first time. I hope if you’re allowed you can post some progress up on here? It’s still an F bomb after all!😎

    My 1970 Formula Rebuild Project

Haha I almost knew after you’d posted the news it wasn’t gonna get pirated for parts that it was gonna be the lead project……. & for what it’s worth I’m with you all the way, wise choice 👌👌

Looking At Parting Out A 1978 Numbers Matching Trans Am

That’s a pretty good project; nothing looks too scary. Full R/Qtrs are remarkably easy on F bodies; what’s the trunk floor & passenger floors like?

    My 1970 Formula Rebuild Project

It would be sacrilege to chop that up; in fact, it’s probably illegal & if it isn’t, it should be! 😂

    My 1970 Formula Rebuild Project

3 weeks sounds a little optimistic but considering your ability to get work done I reckon you have a chance! 👍👌👍

Looking At Parting Out A 1978 Numbers Matching Trans Am

It's a shame you must let it go, but the real world does get in the way. You could start with a description of the car, maybe the VIN & body tag, plus some pix. As for values, I can't help much as I'm in England, but I'm sure the good members here can guide you. 👍

    1979 Trans Am - 403 Electrical Issues?

Bloody hell, that’s some problem! Start by eliminating components, whip the starter off & power it up with jumper cables while it’s lying on the garage floor & watch it closely. It’s possible that the solenoid has failed internal insulation or switching; after operation, it takes a few seconds...

    My 1970 Formula Rebuild Project

Brilliant progress! Just my opinion, but attach the brace under the deck lid drain channels & that way, you can easily drop the deck lid on to check the gap fit. 👍

    My 1970 Formula Rebuild Project

That’s excellent progress! Good work bracing the sections before you cut; many people, even experienced ones, often omit that & pay for it later!

Looking For A Period Correct 1970 Trans Am Automatic Transmission

Sorry, it was a Powerglide case. 🙄 I had a glance on the interweb & found loads of pix of serial # locations; there were steel tag pix too.👍

Looking For A Period Correct 1970 Trans Am Automatic Transmission

I'll see if I can find a case lying about the workshop; I'm pretty sure I got one somewhere. It'll be stamped into the case number & hopefully, the steel tag.

    No Fuel to Holley Carb?

An easy way to identify which is inlet or outlet is to remove lines from the pump and place your finger over the tapping while cranking the engine—only if it’s safe to do so! You’ll easily feel pressure if it’s pumping ok. While you have the lines disconnected, get that vacuum pump and make...
