Hi guys, new here looking for some experienced opinions.

I'm in negotiations to purchase an all-original '79 Trans Am with an olds 403.

My question is regarding the motor.

This car allegedly sat 20+ years (must have been well protected, the body is in great original condition) until about 4 years ago when the current owner acquired it.

He's since put on about 2K miles on it (47k total), and had the trans rebuilt.

He says he's had no problems and it runs strong.

I've looked at it in person and the motor appears to run well.

I'm a little concerned given the amount of time it sat.

Is there anything I should look out for?

From what I could tell no, but I'll be getting a better look soon.

Thanks for the response, anything else that I should be looking for?

It's now seven months since you posted this. I'm curious, did you buy it?

Could you share your story and provide some pics if you did?

Maybe tell us why if you didn't?
